There's so much to do here at Dead Backwater that you need to camp here for a while, Riverside Campground is a glorious site for that. This lake is so wonderful. Not far from Dead Backwater you hit upon Corkins Neck, and a good close by hotel is Tilghman Beach and Golf Resort. That right there is loads already, but it continues; Dead Backwater has it all. Beaches are nice; and       Futch Beach next to Dead Backwater is no exception, and an afternoon playing golf at Angels Trace Golf Links is always a diversion. Bald Beach is a beach near Dead Backwater that you can stop at; if you've had enough of Dead Backwater, Butler Pond is close by. Swamps like Blane Creek are fun to stop by; you can stay the night at Myrtle Beach RV Resort. This lake is so wonderful. At Dead Backwater you always meet someone from Myrtle Beach-Conway-North Myrtle                  Beach. Dead Backwater gets lots of water; throughout the month of August you get the most rain around here while October is the month with the least amount of precipitation. A quick visit to Little River near Dead Backwater is a good idea, and if you need a place to stay Sea Trail Golf Resort And Conference Center is a great choice. For the duration of the warm months highs here at Dead Backwater reach the 80's. All through the dark hours of summer temperatures plunge down into the 60's.
