It's a tremendous idea to check out Peter Mashoes Creek, it's near Davis Pond, and Elizabethan Inn is a magnificent spot to get some rest. All the water falling down from the sky makes Davis Pond a wet       place; the month with most of the rain is July, and the driest month is November. There's so much to do here at Davis Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Cypress Cove Campground is a great site for that, and don't leave Davis Pond without first going for a hike along the Thomas Hariot Nature Trail.
