Davis Pond is brilliant enough to spend more than a day at, Colington Park Campground is a brilliant local campground; after a long day outdoors Cambridge Cove at Bermuda Bay is a good spot to spend a night or two. Lakes are great; East Lake is a lake that's right next door to Davis Pond, and do take a hike on the Thomas Hariot Nature Trail. Summer brings highs in the 80's       to Davis Pond with nighttime lows in the 60's. The winter comes with highs in the 50's, and after the sun is down through the winter temperatures at Davis Pond dip into the 30's. Getting to Peter Mashoes Creek from Davis Pond is simple, and since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always stop at close by Colony Lake. The high level of precipitation makes Davis Pond a reasonably wet spot; during the month of July you get the most rain around here,                  and November on the other hand is the driest. Camping at Cypress Cove Campground is always a good experience; nearby you hit upon Caroon Point. This lake is so wonderful. This lake is so wonderful. If you like swamps, you're in luck, Gar Gut is right nearby, and Davis Pond is a spot with many visitors from Kill Devil Hills. There's just no way someone can get bored here at Davis Pond.
