The high level of rain makes Dalton Pond a reasonably wet place; through the month of March you get the most rain around here while November is generally the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Hanging Rock Trail, and paddling on Dan River is so much fun. Motel 6 is a tremendous spot to get some rest. There's so much to do here at Dalton Pond that you need to camp here for a while,       Sunset Park Campground is a good place for that. Take a hike on the Cascade Trail, and getting to Fivemile Branch from Dalton Pond is trouble-free. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Dalton Pond; Cooks Wall Trail is a good local trail; not far from Dalton Pond you'll discover Creeson Lake which is a lovely lake. This lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors Comfort Inn is a fine site to spend a night or two, and if you came to camp Tanglewood                  Family Resort is a brilliant place to do that. Just can't get enough of Dalton Pond. People from Winston-Salem love to come to Dalton Pond, and enjoy a round of golf at Reynolds Park Golf Course. High temperatures at Dalton Pond during the days of summer are in the 80's with overnight lows in the 60's. High temperatures through the winter are normally in the 40's with temperatures at Dalton Pond dipping down into the 20's during winter nights.
