     Mid Pines Inn & Golf Club is a splendid site to get some rest, and if you get bored of Crystal Lake you could also visit nearby Forrest Lake. Crystal Lake is a reasonably wet place mostly with a good deal of rain; during the month of July you get the most rain around here, and the driest of the months is April. Just can't get enough of Crystal Lake. Playing golf is lots of fun at Pine Horse Golf Club; you can run the rapids of Little River. You'll meet a lot  
   of folks from Sanford here, and why not camp at Pine Lake Campground while you're here at Crystal Lake.
This lake is so wonderful. A lake nearby is Griffin Lake, and Deep River is a great whitewater spot nearby. Crystal Lake Dam is pretty and it's close to Crystal Lake, and camping is available at Heritage Camping and Recreation.

               Needles Lodge & Golf Club is a glorious choice. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 80's to Crystal Lake. When the night sets in temperatures descend down into the 60's. For the duration of the wintertime the highs are usually in the 40's, and night lows at Crystal Lake through the wintertime mostly plunge into the 20's.

Had to hike in from 211. Earth dam was broken and deepest water was only about two feet. Not much to see. Appears to have been drained for a few years....
