Berry Water Gardens is a splendid lake in close proximity to Crawfords Lake, and Crawfords Lake is a good place to visit for more than one day, Humphrey's Ridge Camp is a good place to camp nearby. This lake is so wonderful. While you're here at Crawfords Lake you can play some golf at Pine Tree Golf Club, and if you need a location to stay Quality Inn Kernersville is a wonderful choice. The high level of rain       makes Crawfords Lake a pretty wet place; of all the months in a year July is the one with the most rain, and February is when it's the driest. At Crawfords Lake you always meet someone from Winston-Salem, and Oak Hollow Campground is a tremendous local campground. Dan River is a wonderful whitewater spot close to Crawfords Lake; after a long day outdoors Sleep Inn Kernersville is a tremendous place to spend a night or two. Through the long summer days at                  Crawfords Lake highs are mostly in the 80's while overnight lows are regularly in the 60's. For the period of the winter the highs are frequently in the 40's, and overnight lows in the 20's for Crawfords Lake. Any time is a tremendous time at Crawfords Lake if you like the outdoors.
