Get your heart beating on the great whitewater of Tar River, and a magnificent close by hotel is Guesthouse Rocky Mount. This lake is so wonderful. The Bluff Loop Trail offers hiking at its best. This lake is so wonderful. Coopers Pond is not far at all from Rocky Mount, and if you need a place to stay Rocky Mount - Days Inn Goldrock/I-95 is a good choice. You don’t have to go far from Coopers Pond to distinguish the water at                  Coopers Pond Dam, and do take a hike on the Discovery Loop Trail. Take a side spree to Gideon Swamp; Enfield/Rocky Mount KOA is a great local campground. And if that's not enough, there's a heap more to do next to Coopers Pond. Nearby lakes? Sure, Doziers Lake is right next door to Coopers Pond; if you came for an overnight stay KOA Campgrounds is a great place to camp.
