Coopers Pond is a wet site that gets a lot of rain; the month with most of the rain is August; April on the other hand is the driest. So much enjoyable stuff to do at Coopers Pond, so little time. Guesthouse Rocky Mount is a delightful spot to get some rest, and KOA Campgrounds is a good campground nearby. Not                  far from Coopers Pond you acquire some fine water scenery at Coopers Pond Dam, and there's whitewater on Tar River for all you adrenaline kick people.
