Lakes are perfect; Skilpot Lake is a lake that's close to Coon Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Village Inn Golf & Conference Center is a fine site to get some rest, and not far from Coon Lake you'll find Mallard Lake which is a beautiful lake. Get dripping wet paddling on South Yadkin River, and if you came for an overnight stay Thousand Trails is a nice location to camp. Playing golf is lots of fun at Salem Glen       Country Club; at Coon Lake you always meet someone from Winston-Salem. This lake is so wonderful. Summer brings highs in the 80's to Coon Lake; the nighttime is somewhat cooler of course, usually in the 60's. Daytime highs through the winter are in the 40's; overnight lows at Coon Lake during the wintertime generally sink into the 20's. Yeah, come here to Coon Lake for a magnificent time. Camping is available at Tanglewood Family Resort, and Bailey Creek is                  one of the streams close by that might be worth a visit.
