For the duration of the long summer days here at Collins Pond, high temperatures typically reach the 80's. Summer nighttime lows dip down to the 60's. The winter comes with highs in the 40's while the cold winter nights at Collins Pond are in the 20's. Much precipitation falls at Collins Pond; through the month of August you get the most rain around here; April meanwhile is the driest month. Stay the night at Enfield/Rocky       Mount KOA, and the Discovery Loop Trail is a nice hiking trail nearby. This lake is so wonderful. There are plenty of people from Rocky Mount here at Collins Pond; Holiday Inn ROCKY MOUNT-US 64 is a perfect location to get some rest. Life's too short to enjoy all the cool stuff next to Collins Pond. After a long day outdoors Econo Lodge is a nice spot to spend a night or two, and going for a hike along the Bluff Loop Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty                  of this region. If the weather is good here at Collins Pond, you can go for a hike along the Stream Loop Trail, and Kamper's Lodge Of America is a good campground here.
