Camping is available at Cane Creek Park. Collins Lake is a wet location that gets a large amount of precipitation; of all the months in a year March is the one with the most rain, and the driest month is April. At Collins Lake throughout the warm days of summer highs are in the 80's, and the night is somewhat chillier of course, mostly in the 60's. The winter brings       highs down to the 40's; night lows in the 20's for Collins Lake.
