Coffey Trout Lake is a beautiful lake in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Gragg Prong River, and Coffey Trout Lake is right by the Daniel Boone Scout Trail. This lake is so wonderful. There's so much to do here at Coffey Trout Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Flintlock Campground is a glorious spot for that, and Best Western Mountain       Lodge At Banner Elk is a great site to get some rest. All through the summertime, highs mostly are in the 70's at Coffey Trout Lake with night lows in the 50's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 40's, and winter nights come with lows in the 10's to Coffey Trout Lake. If you need a place to stay Sugar Ski and Country Club is a good choice, and a brilliant view of scenic Laurel Mountain is available. This lake is so wonderful. There's                  no such thing as a bad day of skiing at nearby Appalachian Mountain, and if you want to play some golf, you're in luck because Mountain Glen Golf Club is in the vicinity. This place, the Blue Ridge Mountains, has so much outdoors amusing things. If you came to camp Grandfather Campground and Cabins is a tremendous location to do that, and since you're here you will meet lots of folks from nearby Boone. Getting to Andrews Creek from Coffey Trout Lake is uncomplicated; you'll discover a gorgeous lake called Price Lake. If you love the outdoors you'll love it here in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Hawksnest has great slopes and a friendly staff, and get your pulse rate up on the pleasant whitewater of Wilson Creek. Coffey Trout Lake truly is in the middle of a scenic outdoors paradise. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Yancey Ridge Trail, and since you're here, you could also stop at striking Grandmother Lake. You just can't envision the amount of outdoors enjoyable stuff the area close to Coffey Trout Lake has to offer.
