Cobles Reservoir is always a pleasure to visit. Lakes are such calm places, why not stop at Clodfelter Lake near Cobles Reservoir, and Lexington Golf Club is a splendid golf course nearby. What a spot this is for outdoors folks. Highway 8 Motel is a tremendous location to get some rest, and some close by water includes Sooky Creek. This lake is so wonderful. Cobles Reservoir is a good location to visit for more than one day, High Rock Lake Marina and Campground

| | is a good location to camp nearby, and Glossons Lake Number One is a fine lake nearby.
At Cobles Reservoir through the warmest time of the year highs are in the 90's while night lows are frequently in the 60's. All through the winter highs are in the 40's; overnight lows through the winter for Cobles Reservoir tend to be in the 20's. There are some great whitewater spots on South Yadkin River, and Cobles Reservoir is a spot with many visitors from Lexington-Thomasville. | |

A good deal of rain falls at Cobles Reservoir; the month of May is the wettest with most of the rain while November is usually the driest month.
Dry warm beds await you at Comfort Suites Lexington; if you come at the right time
of year, Yadkin River offers some wonderful whitewater. This lake is so wonderful. Stay the night at Dan Nicholas Park; do visit Cobles Reservoir Dam while you're here.

Our family goes at least 10times per summer, with it could be more....work gets in the way!...What a wonderful family campground. We are in a motorhome and our daughter is in a cabin. I am sitting here using the FREE WI_FI creating this review. This campground is clean, friendly and great for families. It is QUIET at quiet hour! We even rented a pontoon boat!Best campground in the area. Highly recommended....We stay at High Rock Lake Marina and Campground at least 5 times a summer. Great People, Great Place, clean and Friendly! We rent a boat while we are there and have a great time! We have not found a better family campground!... |
