If you need a spot to stay Residence Inn By Marriott Winston/Salem is a good choice, and there's whitewater on Yadkin River for all you adrenaline kick people. People from Winston-Salem love to come to Clinard Lake, and do take a hike on the Moores Knob Trail. This lake is so wonderful. At Doug Young Dam Number Two in the neighborhood of Clinard Lake there are some interesting things to see, and you can have a great hiking       adventure along the Cascade Trail. Crossland Economy Studios is a perfect location to get some rest, and let's not forget Bill Branch which is a stream that you may run into during your stay. Stay the night at Tanglewood Family Resort, and in all probability you're looking for close by lakes? Sure, Doug Young Lake Number Two is just a very short distance away. The high level of rainfall makes Clinard Lake a relatively wet place; March is the wettest month                  with most rain; the driest month of the year is November. High temperatures at Clinard Lake through the summertime months are in the 80's with night lows in the 60's. For the duration of the winter this place gets highs in the 40's, and winter nights come with lows in the 20's to Clinard Lake. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this place. Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Dan River, and golf can be played at Grandview Golf Club. This lake is so wonderful. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Cooks Wall Trail.
