Through the months of summer at City Water Works Lake highs are generally in the 80's; the overnight is quite chillier of course, mostly in the 60's. High temperatures during the winter are normally in the 40's while City Water Works Lake night low temperatures during       the wintertime are in the 20's. This lake is so wonderful. During your spree to City Water Works Lake you'll meet some folks from Sanford for sure, and there is a tremendous hiking trail nearby called the Lanier Falls Trail. James Hoover Johnson Pond is a brilliant lake in the neighborhood of City Water Works Lake, and going for a hike on the Northington Ferry Trail is always a fine adventure. Jameson Inn Sanford is a delightful place to get some rest,                  and there are other places here than City Water Works Lake, for example Lake Williams. That right there is a load already, but it keeps on going; City Water Works Lake has it all. Golf can be played at Sanford Golf Course, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Buckhorn Creek. This lake is so wonderful. Get wet paddling on Deep River. City Water Works Lake sees pretty high levels of rainfall; the month of May is the wettest with most of the rain; the driest month is September.
