Beautiful Chetola Lake has much to offer visitors. This is no place for people who don’t like to enjoy themselves. A stunning lake like Bass Lake near Chetola Lake is a good spot to take a look at, and Boone Golf Club is a golf course nearby. Now, you may believe that's loads but there's even more exciting things to do here in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Whohoo, so much exciting stuff in one place! The Blue Ridge Mountains is so good! Blowing Rock Victorian Inn B&B is a great spot to get some rest, and there are some glorious whitewater spots on Boone Fork. Cliffdwellers. There is a brilliant hiking trail near Chetola Lake called the Yancey Ridge Trail; why not head up to Hawksnest and strap some skis to your feet.
This lake is so wonderful. At Chetola Lake you can make out Blowing
Rock; on a splendid day you can take a hike along the Daniel Boone Scout Trail. This lake is so wonderful. If you're visiting Chetola Lake from Boone, you won't be the only one, and if you come at the right time of year, Thunderhole
Creek offers some nice whitewater. At Chetola Lake during the warm days of summer highs are in the 70's. For the duration of the dark hours of summer temperatures drop down into the 50's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 40's
with temperatures at Chetola Lake dipping down into the 10's all through winter nights.
Chetola Lake Dam is a lovely spot close to Chetola Lake, and Morgan's Mountain Retreat is a great local campground. Chetola Lake sees pretty
high levels of precipitation; the wettest month of the year is ordinarily May, that's the one that rains the most while December is the month with the least amount of precipitation. The Blue Ridge Mountains scenery is always beautiful.
