Boone Golf Club is a golf course near Chetola Lake; don't forget to take a splendid little visit to Aho Branch. Chetola Lake gets lots of water; May is when you get the most rain here while December is commonly the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. Lakes are wonderful; Cone Lake is a lake that's close to Chetola Lake; hey, Gotta ski right? Appalachian Mountain       is a great location to do that. There is a splendid hiking trail close to Chetola Lake called the Yancey Ridge Trail, and get your heart pumping on the delightful whitewater of Boone Fork. This is a splendid vicinity for folks who like lakes. Bass Lake is a lake close by, and Chetola Lake Dam is not far at all from Chetola Lake. Whohoo, so many exciting things in one place! The Blue Ridge Mountains is so good! Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Thunderhole Creek; if you came to camp Camp Sky Ranch is a great place to do that. Chetola Lake is a beautiful lake in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Now, you may feel that's heaps but there's even more amusing stuff to do here in the Blue Ridge Mountains.
