What a nice lake Chesterfield Lake is. From a rain point of view Chesterfield Lake is a relatively common location; through August this area sees the most rain, and the driest month is April. This lake is so wonderful. Hidden Valley Golf Club is a good golf course close by, and if you need a spot to stay Comfort Inn Fuquay-Varina is a wonderful choice. Don't leave Chesterfield Lake without first going for a hike along the East Loop Horse Trail, and Guys Pond

Fayetteville Koa is a great campground here, and the wonderful people of Dunn like to hang out close by. You just can't imagine the amount of outdoors cool stuff the area in the neighborhood of Chesterfield Lake has to offer. Lake temperatures are frequently in the 80's. For the period of the dark hours of summer temperatures sink down into the 60's. Daytime highs all through the winter are in the 40's with temperatures at Chesterfield Lake dipping down
into the 20's during winter nights.
Upper Little River is a magnificent whitewater spot next to Chesterfield Lake, and there are splendid places to look at along the Group Camp Trail. Go for a hike on the Little Creek Loop Trail;
Chesterfield Lake Dam is gorgeous. This lake is so wonderful. In case you don’t have a problem getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Cape Fear.
