If you are in this part of North Carolina make sure to pay a visit to Cheoah Valley Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Historic Fontana Village is a splendid place to get some rest. Whohoo, so much exciting stuff in one place! The Great Smoky Mountains is unbeatable! Cheoah Valley Dam has good water scenery and it's in the neighborhood of Cheoah Valley Lake; going for a hike on the Big Stack Gap Branch Trail is always a good adventure. There's so much to do

| | here at Cheoah Valley Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Horse Cove Campground is a glorious place for that, and unsurprisingly Aiken Branch flows through this area.
Cheoah Valley Lake is a reasonably wet place regularly with a large amount of rain; of all the months in a year March is the one with the most rain while October is commonly the driest month. Now, you may imagine that's a heap but there's even more entertaining things to do here in the | |

Great Smoky Mountains. Lakes are such serene sites, why not stop by Cheoah Lake in the neighborhood of Cheoah Valley Lake, and Bearpen Gap is another fine spot to take a look at nearby. If you need a place to stay Hike Inn is a great
choice, and Cheoah Valley Lake is wonderful enough to spend more than a day at, Rattler Ford Campground is a wonderful local campground.
Life's too short to enjoy all the cool stuff right next door to Cheoah Valley Lake. There
is a great hiking trail close to Cheoah Valley Lake called the Stiffknee Trail, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Yellow Creek. Cheoah Valley Lake is a beautiful lake in the Great Smoky Mountains. All through the days of summer
here at Cheoah Valley Lake, high temperatures frequently get into the 80's, and the nighttime is a tad cooler of course, mostly in the 60's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 40's, and night lows in the 20's for Cheoah Valley
Lake.
This lake is so wonderful. The Hannah Mountain Trail is a great hiking trail close to Cheoah Valley Lake, and float down the rapids of Cheoah River in a kayak.
