At Chedah Dam near Cheoah Lake there are some out of the ordinary things to see, and after a long day outdoors Dancing Bear Lodge is a magnificent spot to spend a night or two. All the water falling down from the sky makes Cheoah Lake a wet location; the wettest month of the year is mostly March, that's the one that rains the most while October is the month       with the least amount of precipitation. So many enjoyable things in the Great Smoky Mountains, just mind-blowing. There are glorious spots to discover along the Stiffknee Trail. Lakes? Sure, Cheoah Valley Lake is in the neighborhood. And that's not all you can do here in the Great Smoky Mountains. There's nice hiking along the Fodderstack Trail. There's so much to do here at Cheoah Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Rattler Ford Campground is a splendid                  site for that. Don't leave Cheoah Lake without first going for a hike along the Big Stack Gap Branch Trail, and hey, Aiken Branch is a tremendous local stream. For the period of the summertime highs here at Cheoah Lake reach the 80's. Once the sun is down it plunges down to the 60's. Highs during the winter are mostly in the 40's with winter lows in the 20's overnight here at Cheoah Lake. Cheoah Lake is located in the Great Smoky Mountains. Calderwood Lake is a perfect lake next to Cheoah Lake, and there are some tremendous whitewater spots on Cheoah River. That right there is plenty already, but it keeps on going; Cheoah Lake has it all. Stay the night at Horse Cove Campground, and Highland Manor Inn And Conference Center is a perfect location to get some rest. This lake is so wonderful.
