In case you don’t mind getting covered with water, you can always go whitewater paddling on Flat River, and you'll probably meet some people from Raleigh-Cary here. High temperatures at Chandler Lake throughout the warm days of summer are in the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures dip down into the 60's. Estates Brier Creek. Chandler Lake gets much water; the month with most of the rain is August; April is when it's the driest. There's so much to do here at Chandler Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Holly Grove Campground
is a good place for that, and there's some flowing water close by, Chunky Pipe Creek is a stream you can visit during your stay.

Beaverdam Lake
 | 19 miles away Beaverdam Lake is really a part of Falls Lake. It is approximately fifteen minutes north of the I-540 beltway on Highway 50. Beaverdam Lake is separated from the main lake by a partial dam and bridge. It is approximately 500 acres in size.
Beaverdam Lake is restricted; no gasoline engines are allowed. This makes it a great place for kayaks, canoes, sailboats and electric-motor propelled boats. It has a very nice concrete boat ramp and adjacent dock, and has a very large parking lot. Adjacent to the boat launching ramp is a nice sand beach with floats delineating the swimming area and a small pavilion. ... |
