For the duration of the summer highs here at Carter Lake reach the 80's, and during the night it cools down to the 60's. Through the wintertime highs are usually in the 40's, and winter nights come with lows in the 20's to Carter Lake. You don’t have to go far from Carter       Lake to make out the water at Carter Lake Dam, and after a long day outdoors O. Henry Hotel is a splendid spot to spend a night or two. Lakes are such calm spots, why not visit Walker Lake right next door to Carter Lake, and Proximity Hotel is a tremendous location to get some rest. You'll wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the amusing stuff at Carter Lake. Britt-Fishman Lake is a delightful lake near Carter Lake, and you're sure to bump into some fine people                  from Greensboro-High Point here. This lake is so wonderful. Stay the night at Dan River Campground, and Greensboro National Golf Club is a brilliant golf course nearby.
