There are other sites here than Carolina Lake, for example Siniard Lake, and camping at Camp Carolina is always a tremendous experience. High temperatures at Carolina Lake through the       warm days of summer are in the 80's, and during the night it cools down to the 50's. For the period of the winter highs are in the 40's, and night lows at Carolina Lake throughout the winter mostly drop into the 20's. Carolina Lake sees pretty high levels of rainfall; March is the wettest month with most rain; October is the month with the least moisture. This lake is so wonderful. A round of golf at nearby Connestee Falls Golf Club is a pleasant way to                  kill some time, and you can go for a hike on the Mullinax Trail. Carolina Lake Dam is not far at all from Carolina Lake; there are pleasant places to look at along the Black Mountain Trail. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Blue Ridge Mountains. Glide down the rapids of Davidson River in a kayak; since you're here you will meet lots of people from close by Brevard. The sight of Burl Mountain from Carolina Lake is pretty, and swing by Allison Creek it's a great location to pop by.
