Capitol Kiwanis Club Pond is always a pleasure to visit. At Capitol Kiwanis Club Pond through the warm months highs are in the 80's. Summer night lows plunge down to the 60's. Highs during the wintertime are generally in the 40's, and all through the dark hours in the winter at Capitol Kiwanis Club Pond temperatures descend to the 20's. This lake is so wonderful. Going for a hike on the West Loop Horse Trail is always a nice adventure; why not a little side trip to Cary Branch. Get wet paddling on Cape Fear; you can go for a hike on the East Loop
Horse Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Don't leave Capitol Kiwanis Club Pond without first going for a hike along the Lanier Falls Trail; Comfort Inn Apex is a magnificent site to get some rest.
