Canton Reservoir is a beautiful lake in the Blue Ridge Mountains. If you came to camp Compassionate Expressions is a tremendous place to do that, and why not take a refreshing hike along the Buck Spring Trail. Whohoo, so many cool things in one place! The Blue Ridge Mountains is excellent! You can run the rapids of Pigeon River near Canton Reservoir, and after a long day outdoors Comfort       Inn Canton is a great place to spend a night or two. Now, you may think that's plenty but there's even more amusing stuff to do here in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Some of the water close by flows, like Long Branch; you can have a great hiking adventure along the Thompson Ridge Trail. All through the summer months at Canton Reservoir temperatures are typically in the 80's, and all through the night it cools down to the 60's. All through the wintertime highs                  are mostly in the 40's while Canton Reservoir nighttime low temperatures through the wintertime are in the 20's. Pigeon River - West Fork is a great whitewater spot in close proximity to Canton Reservoir; the slopes of Cataloochee are so inviting noone can resist. Now, you may assume that's lots but there's even more fun stuff to do here at Canton Reservoir. Take a hike on the Pilot Rock Trail, and Buck Cove Mountain is easy to spot from Canton Reservoir. This lake is so wonderful. Near Canton Reservoir you discover perfect places like Grassy Gap, and Canton Reservoir is great enough to spend more than a day at, Asheville West KOA is a great local campground. Dry warm beds await you at Asheville-Days Inn West. This lake is so wonderful. You'll meet a lot of people from Asheville here, and Blue Ridge Parkway is one of the destinations that are wonderful to pop by nearby.
