Why not camp at Lake Leamon Campground if you're here at Camp Newkirk Pond, and a tremendous nearby hotel is Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Wallace-Hwy 41, Nc. There's great hiking along the Tarheel Trail, and Country Inn & Suites By Carlson, Wilmington Airport at Marke is a delightful place to get some rest. This lake is so wonderful. If you came for an overnight stay Hanging Dog RV Park is a good spot to camp, and       some nearby water includes Lewis Creek. Don't leave Camp Newkirk Pond without first going for a hike along the History Trail; why not have a look at Camp Newkirk Pond Dam while you're here.
