place to camp. There's whitewater on Dan River for all you adrenaline junkies; the Cascade Trail is a nice hiking trail nearby. The peak of Sauratown Mountain can be seen from Camp Hanes Lake, and if the weather is good, you can go for a hike along the Moores Knob Trail.
