Camp Deer Lake is a nice lake to visit. The high level of rainfall makes Camp Deer Lake a rather wet spot; all through the month of July you get the most rain around here, and the driest of the months is October. There's so much to do here at Camp Deer Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Lake Powhatan Campground is a great spot for that, and going for a hike on the Side Hill Trail is always a nice adventure. | | golf at nearby High Vista Country Club is a delightful way to kill some time; if you come at the right time of year, French Broad River offers some great whitewater.
You'll locate a striking lake called Bent Creek Ranch Lake near Camp Deer Lake, and there are plenty of folks from Asheville here at Camp Deer Lake. Go for a hike on the Shut-In Trail, and whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then, we recommend Swannanoa River. Through | |

the long summer days at Camp Deer Lake highs are frequently in the 80's. For the period of the dark hours of summer temperatures fall down into the 60's. Throughout the winter the highs are frequently in the 40's with temperatures
at Camp Deer Lake dipping down into the 20's through winter nights.
You just can't imagine the amount of outdoors fun stuff the Blue Ridge Mountains has to offer. You can never get enough of the brilliant skiing at Ski Beech.
Now, you may assume that's a load but there's even more entertaining things to do here in the Blue Ridge Mountains. There's some flowing water close by, Beaten Branch is a stream you can explore during your stay, and don't leave Camp
Deer Lake without first going for a hike along the Laurel Mountain Trail. Camp Deer Lake is located in the Blue Ridge Mountains.

is a great site to spend some time at, and visiting Blue Ridge Parkway is just something you need to do if you haven't yet. This lake is so wonderful. If you're interested in hydro structures, you can go to Lake Powhatan Dam, and
after a long day outdoors Comfort Suites Asheville is a nice location to spend a night or two.
You'll wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the cool things at Camp Deer Lake. If you came to camp Parkway Lane RV Park is a glorious place to do that, and a cool spot to visit is Sandy Bottom.
