Through the days of summer, highs generally are in the 80's at Camelot Woods Lake. Throughout the dark hours of summer temperatures fall down into the 60's. The winter brings highs down to the 40's, and nighttime lows in the 20's for Camelot Woods Lake. Do go to Scott Lake next to Camelot Woods Lake, it's a wonderful lake,       and Dan River has a pleasant whitewater paddling spot nearby. Take a side tour to Flat Shoals Creek. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Camelot Woods Lake has to offer, you can camp at Hanging Rock State Park. Have a wonderful hiking adventure along the Cooks Wall Trail; folks from Winston-Salem love to come here. Camelot Woods Lake is right by the Hanging Rock Trail, and you'll hit upon a picturesque lake called J S Hedgecock Lake. This lake                  is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at Comfort Inn Winston-Salem, and Flat Shoal Mountain is a peak you can see from Camelot Woods Lake. You just can't envision the amount of outdoors enjoyable things the area in close proximity to Camelot Woods Lake has to offer. Camelot Woods Dam is a stunning place in the neighborhood of Camelot Woods Lake, and if you're a golfer then a glorious nearby course is Hemlock Golf Course. And that's not all you can do here at Camelot Woods Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Paddling on Dan River is so much fun, and Camelot Woods Lake is a great location to visit for more than one day, Sunset Park Campground is a great location to camp nearby.
