If you are in Harnett county it's always a good idea to stop by Cambro Pond. You'll meet a lot of people from Dunn here, and Cape Fear has a wonderful whitewater paddling spot nearby. Sleep Inn ,Inn & Suites is a good spot to get some rest, and a pretty lake like Smith Lake is a fine place to take a look at. This lake is so wonderful. A golf course close to Cambro Pond is Pine Burr Golf Course; you can go for a hike on the American Beech Trail. Whitewater paddling is good on Upper Little River; perfect hiking is available along the Group Camp Trail.

Cambro Pond sees pretty high levels of precipitation; July is when you get the most rain here; November is when it's the driest. High temperatures at Cambro Pond through the summer months are in the 80's, and the night is a bit cooler
of course, typically in the 60's. During the wintertime the highs are typically in the 40's with temperatures at Cambro Pond dipping down into the 20's throughout winter nights. This lake is so wonderful. A splendid site to camp here at Cambro Pond is Fayetteville Koa.
