This lake is so wonderful. Go for a hike on the Summit Loop Trail, and while you're here, you could go to Jimmies Creek. All the outdoors cool things near Cagles Pond will keep you coming back over and over. Good hiking is available along the Discovery Loop Trail; a great site to camp here at Cagles Pond is Americamps Lake Gaston. Camping at Cattail Creek Campground is always a nice experience, and an afternoon playing       golf at Lake Gaston Golf Club is always a pleasure. Going for a hike on the Dam Site Loop Trail is always a brilliant adventure, and perfect water scenery is available at Cagles Pond Dam close to Cagles Pond. This lake is so wonderful. Whitewater paddling is fine on Roanoke River, and Eaton's Ferry Motel is a delightful spot to get some rest. Dry warm beds await you at Hampton Inn, and not far from Cagles Pond you'll find Dickens Pond which is a scenic lake.                  All the water falling down from the sky makes Cagles Pond a wet spot; through the month of August you get the most rain around here while April is the month with the least amount of precipitation. For the period of the warm months here at Cagles Pond, high temperatures generally get into the 80's, and the night is somewhat chillier of course, generally in the 60's.
