The Group Camp Trail is a great hiking trail near Byrd Mill Pond, and a nice site to camp here at Byrd Mill Pond is Fayetteville Koa. Camping is available at Lazy Acres, and close by you stumble on the American Beech Trail which is a glorious hiking trail. There is a great hiking trail in the neighborhood of Byrd Mill Pond called the Little Creek Loop Trail, and if you need a place to stay       Fayetteville-Days Inn North/Wade/I-95/Exit 58 is a great choice. Life's too short to enjoy all the enjoyable things in the vicinity of Byrd Mill Pond. You can run the rapids of Upper Little River in close proximity to Byrd Mill Pond, and if you're a golfer then a tremendous close by course is Pine Burr Golf Course. Byrd Mill Pond gets a great deal of water; the wettest month of the year is commonly July, that's the one that rains the most, and November on                  the other hand is the driest.
