High temperatures at Burges Lake during the summer are in the 80's, and the overnight is quite colder of course, frequently in the 60's. Through the wintertime this place gets highs in the 40's, and after the sun is down through the wintertime temperatures at Burges Lake descend into the 20's. This lake is so wonderful.       Near Burges Lake you come across a golf course called Fairfield Golf Course, and Jackson Lake is a nearby lake that you could stop at. Burges Lake is a pretty wet place typically with a good deal of rain; all through the month of July you get the most rain around here, and the driest month of the year is February. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Deep River, and Burges Lake Dam is not far at all from Burges                  Lake. The friendly people of Greensboro-High Point like to hang out close by; a lake nearby is Kivett Lake. Why not camp at Oak Hollow Campground if you're here at Burges Lake.
