In North Carolina there are many beautiful lakes, Broyhill Lake is one of them. All through the summer months highs here at Broyhill Lake get into the 80's, and through the night it cools down to the 60's. Highs during the wintertime are commonly in the 40's while the cold winter nights at Broyhill Lake are in the 20's. Very good water scenery is available at Broyhill Lake Dam in the vicinity of Broyhill Lake; Hemphill Mountain Campground is a pleasant local campground.

There is a wonderful hiking trail in the vicinity of Broyhill Lake called the Asbury Trail, and in the event that you don't mind getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Pigeon River. fun stuff the Blue Ridge Mountains has to offer. Enjoy a round of golf at Lake Junaluska Golf Course not far from Broyhill Lake, and Super 8 Motel Waynesville is a wonderful place to get some rest. Going for a hike on the Buck Spring
Trail is always a fine adventure; why not camp at Riverhouse Acres since you're here at Broyhill Lake. This lake is so wonderful. You can never get enough of the great skiing at Cataloochee, and after a long day outdoors Lake Junaluska
Conference and Retreat Center is a nice location to spend a night or two. You think that's enough? Just getting warmed up. This lake is so wonderful. Jerry Knob is a peak you can spot from Broyhill Lake, and a scenic lake like
Lake Palcoy is a great place to go to. Don't forget to take a tremendous little visit to Jones Cove Branch, and whitewater paddling is brilliant on Pigeon River - West Fork.
