It's always fun to stop by Brown Lake. You definitely have to have a thing about Brown Lake. If you're dropping by Brown Lake from Mount Airy, you won't be the only one. Why not pop by Brown Lake Dam since you're here; whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then, we recommend Fisher River. If you come at the right time of year, Yadkin River offers some pleasant whitewater, and Pioneer Village Family Campground is a nice campground here.

After a long day outdoors Days Inn Yadkinville is a great place to spend a night or two, and camping at Brown Lake is glorious fun, Holly Ridge Family Campground is a glorious local campground. Through the warm months, highs regularly are in the 80's at Brown Lake. For the duration of the moonlight hours it's frequently in the 50's. Brown Lake temperatures plunge to the 20's. Brown Lake regularly gets lots of precipitation; the month of August is the wettest with most of the rain while November is the month with the least amount of precipitation. Boxwood Motel is a glorious site to get some rest, and a golf course close by is Silo Run Golf Course.
