A visit to Bright Penny Lake is always a good idea. So much amusing stuff to do here in the Blue Ridge Mountains, too great to be true. Fleetwood Falls Lake is a nearby lake that you could have a look at, and going for a hike along the Yancey Ridge Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this region. At Bright Penny Lake all through the warm months highs are in the 70's, and the nighttime is a little cooler of course, generally in the 50's. Throughout

| | the winter highs are in the 40's, and winter nights come with lows in the 10's to Bright Penny Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Do explore Trout Lake in the vicinity of Bright Penny Lake, it's a pretty lake; paddling on Elk Creek is so much fun. Bright Penny Lake is a splendid place to visit for more than one day, Hitchin Post RV Park is a splendid place to camp nearby, and Bright Penny Lake Dam is not far at all from Bright Penny Lake. It's a great idea to pop by Chestnut Branch, it's in close proximity to Bright Penny Lake; you'll most likely meet some folks from Boone here. All year is a splendid time in the Blue Ridge Mountains if you love the outdoors. Get
covered with water paddling on Yadkin River, and Fairfield Inn And Suites By Marriott Boone is a delightful place to get some rest. The sight of Pine Knob from Bright Penny Lake is striking, and close by you come across Long Cove
which is a splendid site to explore. This lake is one of the great places here in the Blue Ridge Mountains. If only every site had this much outdoors amusing stuff, what a great world it would be. You'll need more than a day to
discover everything Bright Penny Lake has to offer, you can camp at Boone KOA, and a splendid nearby hotel is Roaring River Chalets. All the water falling down from the sky makes Bright Penny Lake a wet place; through May this area sees the most rain; the driest of the months is December.
