Not far from Briar Lake, you'll discover Echo Lake which is a pretty lake, and on a splendid day you can take a hike along the Mullinax Trail. And that's not all you can do here at Briar Lake. If you need a place to stay Days Inn Hendersonville is a good choice; there are some wonderful whitewater spots on Green River. This lake is so wonderful. Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Big Hungry Creek,                  and a nice location to camp here at Briar Lake is Alpine woods RV Park. There is a perfect hiking trail next to Briar Lake called the Side Hill Trail; if you haven’t been to Blue Ridge Parkway, you must schedule some time for it since you're here. Why not take a look at Briar Lake Dam since you're here; some nearby water includes Brightwater Branch. This lake is so wonderful. Briar Lake is not far at all from Asheville, and dry warm beds await you at The Waverly Inn. That right there is lots already, but it continues; Briar Lake has it all. The Shut-In Trail is a glorious hiking trail in the neighborhood of Briar Lake, and there are other sites here than Briar Lake, for example Rainbow Lake. Whohoo, so much exciting stuff in one place! The Blue Ridge Mountains is unbeatable! Camping is available at Big willow Campground, and a visit to Crystal Spring will fill your soul with perfect feelings. Having a good time in the Blue Ridge Mountains is simple. What would a site like Briar Lake be without interesting nearby highlights like Jumpoff Rock. All through the summertime months highs here at Briar Lake reach the 80's with nighttime lows in the 50's.
