Why not camp at Rock Ridge Campground if you're here at Bones Pond, and some of the water nearby flows, like Little Sapony Creek. All the water falling down from the sky makes Bones Pond a wet location; the month with most of the rain is August, and the driest of the months is April. This lake is so wonderful. A trip to Wells Mineral Spring will fill your spirit with great feelings; a nice nearby       hotel is Comfort Inn Rocky Mount. Bones Pond is a spot with many visitors from Rocky Mount, and a good site to camp here at Bones Pond is Kamper's Lodge Of America. There is a wonderful hiking trail near Bones Pond called the Discovery Loop Trail, and Tar River Reservoir is a good lake close by. You completely must adore Bones Pond. After a long day outdoors Courtyard By Marriott Rocky Mount is a great spot to spend a night or two, and Bones Pond Dam                  is an attention-grabbing thing to check out. This lake is so wonderful. Tar River is a great whitewater spot in close proximity to Bones Pond, and the Stream Loop Trail is a perfect hiking trail nearby. High temperatures at Bones Pond during the summertime months are in the 80's. Once the sun is down it sinks down to the 60's. High temperatures through the winter are normally in the 40's with temperatures at Bones Pond dipping down into the 20's through winter nights.
