A visit to Bonclarken Lake is always a good idea. This lake is so wonderful. Big Hungry Creek has a good whitewater paddling spot nearby, and people from Asheville love to come here. Bonclarken Lake Dam is a picturesque spot near Bonclarken Lake, and there's some flowing water close by, Dunn Creek is a stream you can stop at while you're here. That right there is loads of cool things already but it goes on, the Blue Ridge Mountains has it all. At Bonclarken

Highland Lake Golf Club is a great golf course nearby; why not take a refreshing hike along the Shut-In Trail. This lake is so wonderful. In case you don’t mind getting soaked, you can always go whitewater paddling on Green River; Crooked Creek Lake is a nearby lake that you could pop by. All the outdoors enjoyable things right next door to Bonclarken
Lake will keep you coming back persistently. There's so much to do here at Bonclarken Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Town Mountain Travel Park is a good place for that, and Blue Ridge Parkway is a great local destination.
You'll really wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the entertaining stuff in the Blue Ridge Mountains. If you get bored of Bonclarken Lake, you could also have a look at nearby Lugana Lake, and if you came to camp Park Place
Recreational Vehicle Park is a splendid place to do that. Through the warm months at Bonclarken Lake temperatures are mostly in the 80's. Summer night lows sink down to the 60's. Highs through the wintertime are commonly in the 40's,
