Go for a hike on the Stream Loop Trail; not far from Bodies Millpond you get some great water scenery at Bodies Millpond Dam. Bodies Millpond frequently gets much rainfall; August is the month that gets the most rain, and the driest month of the year is April. Bodies Millpond is a good place to visit for more than one day,       Rock Ridge Campground is a good place to camp nearby, and whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then, we recommend Tar River. Just can't get enough of Bodies Millpond. If you need a spot to stay Comfort Inn Rocky Mount is a nice choice, and don't leave Bodies Millpond without first going for a hike along the Discovery Loop Trail. For the duration of the warm months at Bodies Millpond highs are commonly in the 80's, and the nighttime                  is quite chillier of course, ordinarily in the 60's.
