Stay the night at Pine Lake Campground, and a great nearby hotel is Homewood Suites Olmsted Village-Near Pinehurst. This lake is so wonderful. Golf can be played at Talamore at Pinehurst Golf Course; there are plenty of people from Southern Pines here at Blue Pond. Much rain falls at Blue Pond; the month of July is the wettest with most of the rain, and the driest month is April. All through       the warm months at Blue Pond highs are regularly in the 80's. All through the dark hours of summer temperatures drop down into the 60's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 40's with winter lows in the 20's overnight here at Blue Pond. A lake close by is Pinehurst Lake, and Pinehurst Resort is a great place to get some rest. If you want a great time in the great outdoors, just come on down to Blue Pond. Very nice water scenery is available                  at Blue Pond Dam near Blue Pond, and you can run the rapids of Deep River.
