At Black Mountain Reservoir you can spot Evans Knob; there are some great whitewater spots on Curtis Creek. If you go for the outdoors you'll go for it here in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Rocky Broad River; if you're here at Black Mountain Reservoir it's a delightful idea to visit Fortune Field. High temperatures at Black Mountain       Reservoir during the summer are in the 80's. Once the sun is down it drops down to the 60's. All through the winter highs are in the 40's while the cold winter nights at Black Mountain Reservoir are in the 20's. Do stop by Assembly Lake in close proximity to Black Mountain Reservoir, it's a charming lake; a visit to Blue Ridge Parkway is worthwhile. Why not camp at Sycamore Flats Family Campground if you're here at Black Mountain Reservoir, and if you're here,                  you could also pop by stunning Camp Ridgecrest Lake. This site, the Blue Ridge Mountains, has so much outdoors exciting things. The skiing at Ski Beech is delightful; Black Mountain Reservoir Dam is an attention-grabbing thing to check out. After a long day outdoors Super 8 Black Mountain is a tremendous place to spend a night or two, and K O A Kampgrounds is a great local campground. Man, is there a heap of exciting things to do near Black Mountain Reservoir. A quick tour to Flat Creek in the vicinity of Black Mountain Reservoir is a splendid idea, and you might also want to pay a visit to Buck Gap since you're here at Black Mountain Reservoir. If only every place had this much outdoors entertaining things, what a great planet it would be. Everybody close by loves skiing at Wolf Laurel. Black Mountain Reservoir gets a typical amount of annual precipitation; the month of July is the wettest with most of the rain while October is the month with the least amount of precipitation.
