If you need a place to stay The Sanderling Resort and Spa is a brilliant choice, and lakes are such peaceful spots, why not pop by Perch Pond. Dry warm beds await you at Hampton Inn & Suites Outer Banks-Corolla, and you could always look at Gallop Shoal. Cattle Pen Point is right next door to Big Pond and is a pleasant place to take a look at. You just can't imagine the amount of outdoors fun stuff the area close to Big       Pond has to offer. The Jeep Trail is a glorious hiking trail close to Big Pond; why not camp at North River Campground while you're here at Big Pond. This lake is so wonderful. A delightful place to camp here at Big Pond is Currituck Resort Shores, and you'll discover a striking lake called The Hammock. Big Pond frequently gets a lot of rainfall; of all the months in a year July is the one with the most rain, and November is when it's the driest. Swamps like                  Big Narrows close to Big Pond make for magnificent places to go to; if you're a golfer then a great nearby course is Goose Creek Golf & Country Club. Through the warmest time of the year highs here at Big Pond reach the 80's. During the moonlight hours it's commonly in the 60's.
