     If you need a location to stay Hampton Inn Suites Outer BanksCorolla is a splendid choice, and a good site to camp here at Big Pond is Currituck Resort Shores. This lake is so wonderful. A round of golf at nearby Goose Creek Golf & Country Club is a brilliant way to kill some time; do take a hike on the Jeep Trail. Cattle Pen Point is not far from Big Pond at all, and lakes are such serene places, why not take a look at Perch Pond. The Sanderling Resort and  
   Spa is a great location to get some rest; a delightful lake like The Hammock is a great place to stop at.
Not sufficient hours in a day to enjoy this place. Swamps like Big Narrows near Big Pond make for nice spots to visit, and if you want a little side journey, try Gallop Shoal. Big Pond typically gets a large amount of rain; of all the months in a year July is the one with the most rain, and the driest month of the year is November. Through the summertime
 
               months highs here at Big Pond reach the 80's. Throughout the dark hours of summer temperatures sink down into the 60's. Daytime highs through the winter are in the 50's while Big Pond nighttime low temperatures during the winter are in the 30's.
Camping is available at North River Campground.
