Summertime at Betty-Kay Lake arrives with high temperatures in the 80's, and during the night it cools down to the 50's. Highs through the wintertime are mostly in the 40's; winter nights come with lows in the 20's to Betty-Kay Lake. All the water       falling down from the sky makes Betty-Kay Lake a wet site; the month with most of the rain is March, and January is when it's the driest. If you want a good time in the great outdoors, just come on down to Betty-Kay Lake. A lake nearby is Betty Kay Lake, and there's good hiking along the Thompson Ridge Trail. Whitewater paddling is fine on Matthews Creek, and the top of Dehon Mountain is easily spotted from Betty-Kay Lake. A tour to Gum Gap is always fun,                  and don't leave Betty-Kay Lake without first going for a hike along the Mullinax Trail. Betty Kay Lake Dam is lovely and it's near Betty-Kay Lake, and you can go for a hike on the Black Mountain Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Take a side tour to Ibby Creek, and a brilliant close by hotel is Hampton Inn Brevard NC.
