The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 80's to Bellamys Lake while night lows are commonly in the 60's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 40's with winter lows in the 20's overnight here at Bellamys Lake. A perfect site to camp here at Bellamys Lake is KOA Campgrounds, and dry warm beds await you at Howard Johnson Inn. This lake is so wonderful. Float down the rapids       of Tar River in a kayak, and Bellamys Lake is not the only site nearby, Bellamy Lake is a nearby lake. This lake is so wonderful. Bellamys Lake is right by the Dam Site Loop Trail, and camping is available at Enfield/Rocky Mount KOA. Why not spend some time golfing at a nearby golf course like Hickory Meadows Golf Course, and Quality Inn Battleboro is a pleasant site to get some rest. If you want a wonderful time in the great outdoors, just come on down to                  Bellamys Lake. At Bellamys Lake you always meet someone from Rocky Mount, needless to say you could also pop by Fishing Creek Millpond while you're here; it's not far at all. All the water falling down from the sky makes Bellamys Lake a wet place; of all the months in a year August is the one with the most rain while April is usually the driest month. Hiking along the Discovery Loop Trail is pleasant fun; if you come at the right time of year, Roanoke River offers some wonderful whitewater. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Summit Loop Trail, and needless to say Beaverdam Swamp flows through this neighborhood.
