All the water falling down from the sky makes Bellamy Lake a wet place; August is the wettest month with most rain, and April on the other hand is the driest. Now, you may feel that's heaps but there's even more exciting stuff to do here at Bellamy Lake. Dry warm beds await you at Quality Inn Battleboro, and on a splendid day you can take a hike along the Discovery Loop Trail. If you come at the right time of year, Roanoke River       offers some splendid whitewater; KOA Campgrounds is a wonderful campground nearby. This lake is so wonderful. This is a popular spot for folks from Rocky Mount. An exciting thing to check out near Bellamy Lake is Bellamys Lake Dam, and Bellamy Lake is a good spot to visit for more than one day, Enfield/Rocky Mount KOA is a good spot to camp nearby. This lake is so wonderful. If you want to play some golf, you're in luck because Hickory Meadows Golf Course                  is close at hand, and soar down the rapids of Tar River in a kayak. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 80's to Bellamy Lake, and the overnight is slightly cooler of course, ordinarily in the 60's. High temperatures all through the wintertime are normally in the 40's, and after the sun is down during the wintertime temperatures at Bellamy Lake sink into the 20's. Beaverdam Swamp is a stream that you may come across while you're here; if you're here you can take a hike along the Dam Site Loop Trail.
