Hit the slopes at Ski Beech nearby. Blue Ridge Parkway is a very nice site to explore near Beech Lake, and going for a hike on the Side Hill Trail is always a fine adventure. This lake is so wonderful. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Hungry River, and Orchard Trace Golf Club is a golf course nearby. From a rain point of view Beech Lake is a relatively normal spot; the month of March       is the wettest with most of the rain; October is the month with the least moisture. This lake is so wonderful. Go for a hike on the Mullinax Trail, and if you need a site to stay Best Western Hendersonville Inn is a fine choice. Stay the night at Red Gates, and get drenched paddling on Big Hungry Creek. This lake is located in the wonderful Blue Ridge Mountains. If the weather is pretty, you get a nice vista of Belmont Mountain from Beech Lake, and Comfort                  Inn Hendersonville is a great place to get some rest. So much fun stuff in the Blue Ridge Mountains, just incredible. While you're here at Beech Lake, you could also explore gorgeous Beechwood Lake, and obviously Featherstone Creek is a striking stream that is worth checking out. For the period of the summer months highs here at Beech Lake get into the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures dip down into the 50's.
