It is approximately fifteen minutes north of the I-540 beltway on Highway 50. Beaverdam Lake is separated from the main lake by a partial dam and bridge. It is approximately 500 acres in size. Beaverdam Lake is restricted; no gasoline engines are allowed. This makes it a great place for kayaks, canoes, sailboats and electric-motor propelled boats. It has a very nice concrete boat ramp and adjacent dock, and has a very large parking lot. Adjacent to the boat launching ramp is a nice sand beach with floats delineating the swimming area and a small pavilion. So much entertaining stuff in the neighborhood of Beaverdam Lake, truly incredible. At Beaverdam Lake Dam near Beaverdam Lake there are some out of the ordinary things to see. There's so much to do here at Beaverdam Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Broadreach Summer Adventures is a splendid location for that. Beaverdam Lake generally gets a great deal of precipitation;       through August this area sees the most rain, and the driest month of the year is April. Through the days of summer at Beaverdam Lake temperatures are regularly in the 80's. Through the moonlight hours it's mostly in the 60's. All through the wintertime this place gets highs in the 40's, and nighttime lows in the 20's for Beaverdam Lake. Neuse River has a great whitewater paddling spot close by; if you're popping by from Raleigh-Cary, you won't be the only                  one. This lake is so wonderful. If you came to camp Champion Cheerleading Camps is a pleasant site to do that; why not visit Bridges Lake also since you're here. You'll come across a wonderful lake called Milburnie Lake near Beaverdam Lake, and Wil-Mar Golf Club is a tremendous golf course close by.
