Beaverdam Lake is really a part of Falls Lake. It is approximately fifteen minutes north of the I-540 beltway on Highway 50. Beaverdam Lake is separated from the main lake by a partial dam and bridge. It is approximately 500 acres in size.
Beaverdam Lake is restricted; no gasoline engines are allowed. This makes it a great place for kayaks, canoes, sailboats and electric-motor propelled boats. It has a very nice concrete boat ramp and adjacent dock, and has a very large parking lot. Adjacent to the boat launching ramp is a nice sand beach with floats delineating the swimming area and a small pavilion.

Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always visit close by Milburnie Lake, and swing by Beaverdam Creek it's a brilliant site to stop at. All the water falling down from the sky makes Beaverdam Lake a wet place; August is the month that gets the most rain, and April is when it's the driest. This lake is so wonderful. During the months of summer at Beaverdam Lake highs are generally in the 80's, and during the night it cools down to the 60's. Throughout

| | the wintertime the highs are ordinarily in the 40's, and winter nights come with lows in the 20's to Beaverdam Lake.
This lake is so wonderful. Taking a little visit to nearby Bridges Lake is a magnificent idea, and Neuse River is a magnificent whitewater spot close by.
