Beam Lake is a nice lake to visit. There's just no way someone can get bored here at Beam Lake. You're perhaps into lakes, Cherryville City Reservoir is one of those nearby. Beam Lake is a pretty wet place usually with much precipitation; the month of August is the wettest with most of the rain; the driest month of the year is November. There's whitewater on Catawba River - South Fork for all you adrenaline junkies; lots of people from Lincolnton come here.

The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 80's to Beam Lake. Once the sun is down it dips down to the 60's.
