Lake while you're here at Beam Lake; it's nearby, and drift down the rapids of Kings Branch in a kayak. Beam Lake frequently gets a lot of precipitation; August is the month that gets the most rain, and the driest month is November.
This lake is so wonderful. Beam Lake is right next door to Beam Lake Dam which is a pretty location certainly worth going to, and since you're here you will meet lots of folks from close by Lincolnton.
