     Get yourself into a kayak and hit Catawba River - South Fork; if you're here, you could also go to gorgeous Cherryville Country Club Lake. After a long day outdoors Days Inn Lincolnton is a fine place to spend a night or two, and there are some nice whitewater spots on Kings Branch. This lake is so wonderful. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Beam Lake has to offer, you can camp at Kings Mountain State Park, and you'll meet a lot of folks from  
   Lincolnton here. Beam Lake ordinarily gets much precipitation; August is the month that gets the most rain, and the driest month is November.
Summer at Beam Lake arrives with high temperatures in the 80's, and all through the night it cools down to the 60's. The winter brings highs down to the 50's; winter nights come with lows in the 20's to Beam Lake. And that's not all you can do here at Beam Lake. Dry warm beds await you at Quality Inn Kings Mountain.
 
               There's so much to do here at Beam Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Tuckers Grove Campground is a tremendous place for that.
Very nice water scenery is available at Beam Lake Dam near Beam Lake; you'll come across a striking lake called Sunbeam Farm Lake Number Two.
