Many people like to go to Bass Pond. All the outdoors fun stuff in the Blue Ridge Mountains will keep you coming back over and over. Go for a hike on the Shut-In Trail; Blue Ridge Parkway is one of the destinations that are pleasant to go to close by. This lake is located in the wonderful Blue Ridge Mountains. Camping at Bass Pond is delightful fun, Arden RV Park and Camp Grounds is a delightful local campground, and during your spree here you'll meet some folks from Asheville for sure. Why not camp at Parkway Lane RV Park while you're here at Bass Pond, and the peak of Lone Pine Mountain can be observed from Bass Pond. This is no place for people who don’t like to have fun. Get your heart pumping on the great whitewater of Swannanoa River, and a round of
golf at nearby Municipal Golf Course is a great way to kill some time. A great deal of rain falls at Bass Pond; the month of July is the wettest with most of the rain; the driest month of the year is October. This lake is so wonderful.
After a long day outdoors Sleep Inn Biltmore is a delightful location to spend a night or two, and glorious hiking is available along the Laurel Mountain Trail.
If you fancy the outdoors, you'll like Bass Pond. Really pleasant
skiing awaits you at Wolf Laurel. You can never get enough of the great skiing at Ski Beech, and a great site for whitewater paddling is French Broad River. Summertime highs at Bass Pond typically tend to be in the 80's. All through
the dark hours of summer temperatures plunge down into the 60's. Highs through the wintertime are regularly in the 40's; overnight lows through the winter for Bass Pond tend to be in the 20's.
