Having a brilliant time in the Blue Ridge Mountains is uncomplicated. After a long day outdoors Blowing Rock Victorian Inn B&B is a good place to spend a night or two; Sandy Flat Gap is a delightful site to spend some time. There's so much to do here at Bass Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Camp Sky Ranch is a great spot for that; Cone Lake Dam is delightful. High temperatures at Bass Lake through the summer months are in the 70's, and all through

| | the night it cools down to the 50's. The winter brings highs down to the 40's, and all through the dark hours in the wintertime at Bass Lake temperatures dip to the 10's. This lake is so wonderful. If you came to camp Honey Bear Campground is a glorious spot to do that, and it's a great idea to pop by Flat Top Branch. Soar down the rapids of Thunderhole Creek in a kayak, and at Bass Lake you can see Flat Top Mountain. If only every spot had this much outdoors | |

Lake. Hawksnest is a very popular ski area in close proximity, and while you're here and you like golf, you can have a look at Boone Golf Club. You just can't envision the amount of outdoors cool things the Blue Ridge Mountains has
to offer. Looking for something in the vicinity of Bass Lake? Cone Lake is in the neighborhood; why not take a refreshing hike along the Daniel Boone Scout Trail. The best way to spend a winter day is on the slopes of close by Appalachian
Mountain, and you'll probably meet some folks from Boone here. This lake is so wonderful. You're in all probability keen on lakes, Heart Lake is one of those close by, and if you come at the right time of year, Boone Fork offers
some glorious whitewater. But wait, there's more exciting stuff to do in the Blue Ridge Mountains. The Blue Ridge Mountains scenery is always beautiful. All the water falling down from the sky makes Bass Lake a wet location; May is the month that gets the most rain while December is the month with the least amount of precipitation.
