If you came to camp Enfield/Rocky Mount KOA is a glorious place to do that, and do       visit Lilly Pond Creek while you're here at Barrows Millpond. Barrows Millpond sees pretty high levels of rain; August is the wettest month with most rain, and April meanwhile is the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. Whitewater paddling is great on Roanoke River, and if you need a location to stay Best Western Roanoke Rapids is a delightful choice. Barrows Millpond is not far at all from Roanoke Rapids, and an interesting thing to stop at near Barrows Millpond                  is Boones Mill Pond Dam. The warmest time of the year at Barrows Millpond arrives with high temperatures in the 80's; the night is somewhat cooler of course, usually in the 60's.
