This lake is so wonderful. Fayetteville Koa is a pleasant campground here, and lots of people from Dunn come here. Man, is there loads of enjoyable things to do close to Barnes Lake. The American Beech Trail offers hiking at its best, and you can run the rapids of Cape Fear. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Barnes Lake; Group Camp Trail is a wonderful local trail; Barnes Lake is a good place to camp, Lazy Acres       is a good place. There's whitewater on Upper Little River for all you thrill seekers; Clarks Lake is a nearby lake that you could stop at. All through the summer at Barnes Lake highs are typically in the 80's while overnight lows are frequently in the 60's. Highs through the winter are mostly in the 40's, and overnight lows in the 20's for Barnes Lake. A glorious nearby hotel is Ramsey Street Apartments, and Barnes Lake is right by the Little Creek Loop Trail.                  This lake is so wonderful. There's some interesting stuff to see at Barnes Lake Dam in the neighborhood of Barnes Lake, and after a long day outdoors Budget Inn is a pleasant place to spend a night or two.
