     Barnes Lake is a nice lake to visit. Barnes Lake is a wet location that gets a good deal of precipitation; during July this area sees the most rain; the driest of the months is November. Go for a hike on the Little Creek Loop Trail; there are plenty of folks from Dunn here at Barnes Lake. Summer brings highs in the 80's to Barnes Lake. When the night sets in temperatures fall down into the 60's. High temperatures all through the wintertime are normally in the  
   40's, and overnight lows at Barnes Lake during the winter commonly dip into the 20's.
This lake is so wonderful. A great spot for whitewater paddling next to Barnes Lake is Cape Fear, and Fayetteville Koa is a fine local campground. If you're interested in hydro structures, you can visit Barnes Lake Dam, and Lazy Acres is a glorious campground nearby. You can run the rapids of Upper Little River in the neighborhood of Barnes Lake, and if you need a spot to stay
 
               Fayetteville-Days Inn North/Wade/I-95/Exit 58 is a glorious choice.
Any time is a great time at Barnes Lake if you go for the outdoors. Near Barnes Lake you discover the Group Camp Trail which is a brilliant hiking trail; Value Place Fayetteville BR is a brilliant location to get some rest. Going for a hike on the American Beech Trail is always a good adventure.
